2021 Global Encounters & First Nations Peoples

I’m going to be exploring the evidence for connections between First Nations Peoples in Australia and China.

Carved figure of ‘Shou Lao (god of longevity)’ discovered under the root of a large banyan tree at Doctor’s Gully, Palmerston, Port Darwin in Australia in in 1879 (Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, https://collection.maas.museum/object/180376)
