I have been enjoying attending meetings of the Melbourne History Workshop, a studio-based research collaboratory in the History Program at the University of Melbourne under the direction of Professor Andrew May. There are always terrific projects on the go that bring together the urban history and cultural heritage of Melbourne. I’m currently working on a project related to the Town Clerk’s Correspondence files and fascinating collection held by the Public Records Office of Victoria that I haven’t had a change to delve into since I completed my Masters in Public History. I’m also involved in doing some work exploring the geographic mapping of social history using tools developed as part of the Time Layered Culture Map project.Â
