Delighted to be part of an afternoon dedicated to light, glass and photographic histories, the legacy of Adolphus Verey, and contemporary approaches to old photographic methods at the Castlemaine Art Museum: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/photographic-forum-brought-to-light-darkrooms-to-glasshouses-tickets-623657445207.
I spoke about the photographs Verey took of Chinese Australians and what they reveal about the Chinese communities of the Castlemaine area. It was also an excellent opportunity to catch the current exhibition by celebrated contemporary photographer Jane Brown which was inspired by CAM’s collection and Verey’s work. Photograph Forum held: Saturday 20 May, 2:00pm — 5:00pm. You can listen to my presentation here or read it here.
